Louisiana native Rod Melancon will perform two shows at the NBC on Saturday, April 1, and Sunday, April 2, at 8 p.m. Both shows are free to attend, and his Saturday show will be with the full band. Sunday, Melancon will perform solo.

The 74th annual YMBL South Texas State Fair is underway on the grounds of Ford Park in Beaumont. Live music has always be a part of the fair, but this year, the YMBL has partnered with Outlaw Nation Red Dirt Revival to bring in some of the best regional entertainment both weekends. Friday, March 31, performing will be Will Carter and Steve Griggs Band. From Katy, Carter was the lead singer of the Texas country act The Emotions, but after graduation from Texas A&M, he pursued a solo career with his own original music.
