The redesigned 2015 Toyota Camry

2015 Toyota Camry

The 2015 Toyota Camry has undergone a bumper-to-bumper redesign. And for the 45 percent of Camry customers who have been choosing the sporty SE model, there’s even bigger news. The SE is joined by an XSE grade with 18-inch wheels and added luxury. With the addition, the 2015 Toyota Camry lineup now includes the following grades: LE, XLE, SE, and XSE. Three Camry Hybrid grades are also available (Hybrid LE, Hybrid SE and Hybrid XLE).

Expressive exterior

Our press vehicle was the new Camry XSE grade, which — like the SE grade — is distinguished by a unique front fascia design with a piano-black mesh grille. The XSE also features 18-inch machined alloy wheels with black painted accents and dual chrome-tipped exhaust (V6 models only).

The 2015 Camry is available in 10 colors, including hues such as Parisian Night Pearl, Crème Brulee, Super White and the all-new Celestial Silver Metallic.

Plush cabin

Inside, the Camry presents premium materials, a roomy feel and enhanced amenities. Varying by model, seat cover textures range from premium fabric up to genuine leather trim and Ultrasuede with durable, high-contrast French stitching. Detailed stitching and stylish trim give the new Camry cabin a sophisticated appearance and luxurious feel.

With seating for five, rear legroom is listed at 38.9 inches, rear shoulder room is 56.6 inches and rear hip room is 54.5 inches. Cargo volume for this midsize sedan is 15.4 cubic feet.

Camry efficiency

The standard 2.5-liter, four-cylinder gasoline engine produces 178 horsepower and 170 foot-pounds of torque. It’s teamed with a standard six-speed automatic transmission. This combination offers an estimated fuel economy of 25 mpg in the city, 35 mpg on the highway and 28 mpg combined.

The DOHC 3.5-liter V6 is available in the XLE and XSE grades and delivers 268 horsepower and 248 foot-pounds of torque. It, too, is teamed to the six-speed automatic. Fuel economy estimates are 21 mpg in the city, 31 mpg on the highway and 25 mpg combined.

As one of the world’s leaders in hybrid vehicles, Toyota’s choice of seven hybrids for 2015 includes the redesigned Camry. With its Hybrid Synergy Drive powertrain, the 2015 Camry Hybrid LE offers an estimated fuel economy of 43 mpg in the city, 39 mpg on the highway and 41 mpg combined.
