From the heart … The Art Museum of Southeast Texas is hosting The Art of Giving Tuesday, July 24, from 5:30-7:30pm. The Art of Giving is an informational event with discussion by Beaumont attorneys Kate Eckhart and Anna Scheurich about planned giving and why leaving a legacy is important. There will also be a silent auction featuring fine artwork such as clay objects, prints and painting. Complimentary appetizers and open bar will be provided. Skylights … On the evening of July 4, the City of Beaumont hosted the Symphony of Southeast Texas at the Julie Rogers Theatre and then a spectacular fireworks display over the lake at the Event Centre. Participants all seemed thrilled with the new venue for watching the sky light up with gorgeous colors. In the mix were Celia and Craig Messer, Crystal and Logan King, Maddie Gober and Julian Nunez, Emily and Jeffrey Trevino, Megan and Matthew Falgout, Lauren and Ethan Welch, Kay Ellen and Justin Huff, Ashlyn and Josey Dishman, Zane Dishman, Erica and James Faust, and too many more fantastic folks to mention.

Birthday bash … Gal pals of Kristin Peyton hosted a ‘90s themed b-day party this past weekend in the home of Carley Shelander, and guests definitely adhered to the dress code with a fab fashion flair. Celebrating the effervescent honoree were Paige Burban, Haylee Faggard, Lauren Thieme, Colleen Scott, Kalach Fulcher, Kaitlyn Koch, Kellsley Fairchild, Taryn King, Becca Nacol and Colleen Scott. Guys who joined these fun loving fems were John Hartel, David Thieme, Aaron Stroud, Casey Word, Jacob Stinson and Jeff Fairchild. After a lot of celebrating, the group headed to Bar Local to dance the night away! Happy B-day!
