ARTopia is right around the corner
Ad man … Michael Lee, owner of the successful advertising agency that bears his name, has embarked on a second chapter in his life. A 2003 trip to France inspired him to paint and now the enterprising artist works in oil on canvas using brushwork and techniques that emulate the late 19th century Impressionist masters. You can see his efforts when Café Arts at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas presents Michael Lee: Second Wind on view in the museum’s café from Thursday, Aug. 11, through Sunday, Oct, 23. This exhibition will feature 20 of the artist’s most recent paintings.
