Wine and dine

Lamar University once again hosted the Pairings Wine Dinner 2018  on Jan. 12 benefiting the Dishman Art Museum. This year, the dinner catered by Chartwells was paired with a featured Riesling, chardonnay, zinfandel and two cabernets, a 2006 and 2014, all from Chateau Montelena. Chairs Dawn and Gene Isabell were thrilled with the evening that both the Dean of the College of Fine Arts and Communication Derina Holtzhausen and LU President Ken Evans, spoke to the chic crowd before main speaker Maureen Fournier from Vintus won the group over with her lively stories. Bishop Curtis Guillory gave a beautiful blessing before the meal. Enjoying the magnificent view from the eighth floor of the Mary and John Gray Library, as well as the food, wine and company, were Kim and Roy Steinhagen, Dennis Kiel, Nancy Evans, Paul Holtzhausen, Jim Willis, Jeanette Davis, Lee Ann and Terry Garth, Danita and Doug Fierece, Karen and Mike Fuljenz, Gerri and Clint Talbot, Jo Beth and Mike Jenkins, Julie Casanova and Gerald Farha, Keri and Shaheen Farah, Laura and Craig Escamilla, Rusty Chimeno, Dean Terrebonne, Cindy and Jamie Dishman, Soheila and Sina Nejad Chuck Mazoch, Vivian and Coffy Pieternelle, Tracie and James Payne, Diane and Don Shaver, Emily and Chris Miller, Ayna and John Pat Parsons, Sandy and Joseph Fertitta, Patti and Floyd McSpadden, Donna and Denny Harris, Stacey and Casey Crenshaw, Laura and Beau Procter, Paige and Morris Windham, Melody and Pat Parsons, Ashley and Tab Bryan, Denise and Mark Smith, Linda and Joe Domino, Jessica Garth Whitney and John Adair, Marsha and Lewis Hoffer (in from Austin) and Susan and Russ Schultz to name a few.
