We always know the holidays are upon us with the ninth annual Santa’s Elves Party Cocktails & Good Cheer benefiting MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital. Once again, stylish couples Camille and Chris Ohmstede, and Emily and Chris Miller hosted this oh-so-needed event on the patio at Luke’s Icehouse in Beaumont. Enjoying the brisk weather, libations and jovial conversation were Amanda and Seth Danna, Jessica and Nathan Camp, Cile and Chuck Childress, Jo Vance, Gracelyn and Russel Miller, Nikki and Mike Albanese, Ashley and Tab Bryan, Stephanie and Bernie Daleo, Shari Marchand, Mitch Smith, Kit Ohmstede, Eric Meadows, Ayna and John Pat Parsons, Lindsay and Baylor Wortham, May and Jeremy Bruser, Gena and Colby Crenshaw, Skye and James Bray, Laurey and Kevin Harmon, Brenda and Burnice Wilson, Christina and Josh Crawford, Brooke and Mark Hall, Scarlett and Wyatt Snider, Catherine and Andy Gertz, Amy and Patrick Maloney, Finn and Adam Newman, Tracey Gilliam, Jan and Jason Hayes, Tammy and Scott Crutchfield, Bethany New, Kristen Campbell and Frank Messina, Ashley and Brandon Willis. In over nine years, this party has raised over a quarter of a million dollars for so many precious young patients.

A smashing show

Darrell Troppy’s fabulous King and Queens art exhibit opens at Dexter Augier’s Finder’s Fayre this Thursday, Dec. 7, from 5-9 p.m. at First Thursday, where guests may walk next door and enjoy a divine dinner at Katharine & Co. See you there!

A shiny event

The Wiggins sisters — Jo Bienvenu, Maureen Winchell, Kathleen Hambright, Carol Hearn and Gerry Edwards, along with their spouses Mike Bienvenu, Dean Winchell, Robert Hambright, Donald Hearn and Lum Edwards, hosted their annual Christmas Sparkle & Spirits Party last Saturday evening, Dec. 2, at the Clifton Event Complex. The hosts had plenty of delicious nibbles and libations as well as marvelous entertainment by 3 Car Garage featuring those medical musicians. Sensational symphony

The Symphony of Southeast Texas (SOST) has kicked off it 65th season, and they are so excited about the Symphony Belle Ball returning to December, coming on the heels of the Symphony Debutante Ball. The 2017 Ball will be an evening of winter wonderland magic for the junior girls. Beautiful decorations of crystal, silver and emerald will envelope the Beaumont Civic Center on Saturday, Dec. 16. Highlighting the evening will be the presentation of their stunning 2017 “Silver” Belles and their junior escorts. Following the presentation, dinner and dancing will commence with the terrific tunes of the band, Champagne Room. Guests will have an opportunity to bid on clever Silent Auction packages. Ball committee members Lindsay Wortham, Wendi Malley, Tonya Toups, Beth Rogers and Ayna Parsons are looking forward to greeting guests at the Walking in a Winter Wonderland event.
