Astros Opening Day Street Fest at Minute Maid Park, Houston, April 2

The 2018 Major League Baseball season is upon us and the Houston Astros will begin the season on the road in Arlington for a three-game series at Texas from Thursday, March 29 –Saturday, March 31.

The Astros will play at Minute Maid Park for the first time Monday, April 2, with a three-day homestand with the Baltimore Orioles. The home opener will see plenty of activities including the Astros Opening Day Street Fest from 1-5:30 p.m. Enjoy live music from The Emotions plus games, local food trucks, inflatables, yard games, face painters and caricaturists. Be sure to arrive early to see interviews with manager AJ Hinch and general manager Jeff Lunhow and some of your 2017 World Champion Houston Astros.

Before the game’s first pitch at 6:10 p.m., the team will unveil the 2017 World Series championship banner. All fans will also receive a free 2018 schedule magnet.

Tuesday, April 3, the first pitch is slated for 7:10 p.m. and before the game, the Astros will receive their 2018 championship rings. Also, every Tuesday is Dollar Dog Night as fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs by Nolan Ryan Beef.

The Astros will also be wearing special championship-themed uniforms for the first two home games. The lettering and the numbering on the front and back of the uniforms will be in gold, along with a gold star on the caps and a World Series Champions logo. Those items are available for purchase at the Astros store at Minute Maid Park, which is located at 501 Crawford St. in downtown Houston.
