Erin Higgins Bell Watson

Erin Higgins Watson passed away on February 14, 2018, at her beloved ranch in Blanco County, Texas.

Erin Higgins Watson was born in Austin, Texas, on January 24, 1938, to C.L. “Ox” Higgins and Ezma Taylor Higgins.


Police in Beaumont are investigating a shooting that left one woman injured, reports Officer Carol Riley.

According to Riley, officers responded to the area of Tulane and St. Helena in reference to a shooting at 8:25 p.m. Feb. 25. The victim told police that her boyfriend shot her at their residence in the 2200 block of  Earl.

State District Judge Larry Gist of the Drug Impact Court of Jefferson County Feb. 22 accepted a jury verdict and sentenced Cody Sherrod Ford, 29, to 10 years in prison, announced Criminal District Attorney Bob Wortham.
