Jerry Hentschel, 84, of Beaumont died Sunday, May 21, 2017. He was born May 28, 1932, in La Grange to Julie and Johnny Hentschel. Coach Hentschel was a United States Army veteran. He was a graduate of Sam Houston University and former football coach for South Park and West Brook high schools.

Southeast Texas veteran lawman Zack Shelton will be on cinema screens nationwide as the movie documentary “I Killed JFK,” featuring Shelton and other President John F. Kennedy assassination experts, is set to air for a limited time in select theaters in honor of Kennedy’s 100th birthday. Locally, the movie will be shown at Port Arthur Central Mall 10 on Wednesday, May 31, with showtimes of 7 and 9:30 p.m.
