The vehicle Carraway exited on MLK

Detectives are currently trying to determine the circumstances that led to the death of 39-year-old Tammy Carraway of Vidor.

Around 6:38 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7, patrol officers responded to a reported body in the roadway in the 5400 block of South MLK near Florida Street. Upon arrival, officers located the deceased female.

Members of Civil Air Patrol’s Spindletop Cadet Squadron will once more partner with Wreaths Across America, a nonprofit organization that recognizes U.S. military veterans who have guarded and preserved America’s freedom, by placing remembrance wreaths on the graves of the fallen during the yearend holiday season.

The Museum of the Gulf Coast will host its annual Holiday Extravaganza on Saturday, Dec. 13, in Port Arthur.
