The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), in partnership with Beaumont Police Department (BPD) and Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) are investigating suspicious circumstances involving damage to the church office building of Saint Stephen's Episcopal Church in the 4000 block of Delaware, apparently the result of a small explosion, which necessitated the evacuation of students at All Saints' School located on the church campus.

Revis Rashon Adams, a 34-year-old Beaumont man was arrested on Monday, May 7. According to a press release, Beaumont Police Department detectives "have been working tirelessly" on the shooting that occurred at Ewing and North, which resulted in the homicide of 52-year-old Beaumont man Gregory Willridge on May 3.

 According to a press release, detours will be instated due to construction to the Brush Island overpass. I-10 eastbound will be detoured to State Highway 124 Wednesday night, May 9, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. I-10 Westbound will be detoured to State Highway 124 Thursday night, May 10, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The United States Postal Service and The National Association of Letter Carriers will be sponsoring the 26th Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on Saturday, May 12. Those looking to participate should leave non-perishable food items by their mailboxes on May 12. The food will then be picked up by Letter Carriers and delivered to The Southeast Texas Food Bank.
