Just days into the New Year, U.S. Attorney Brit Featherston announced a guilty plea from Hardin County’s Michael Joseph Fontenot, 50, admitting to possession of child pornography before U.S. District Judge Marcia A. Crone.

Bond set for alleged bank robber

Friday, Jan. 6, Beaumont police responded to Chase Bank located at 6025 Eastex in reference to a bank robbery. Prior to officers’ arrival, the suspect fled in a vehicle, of which witnesses were able to give a description, including the license plate number.

Filing set for Sour Lake council seats

Four teens injured in Silsbee speeding crash
