The season of Thanksgiving and good will is fast approaching and volunteers from Entergy Texas, Inc. are gearing up to ensure families served by the Southeast Texas Food Bank will have what they need to celebrate and enjoy the holidays.
Criminal District Attorney Cory Crenshaw announced today that Jefferson County resident Richard Hernandez, 53, has been found guilty by a Jefferson County jury of two counts of failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements. The trial was held in the Criminal District Court, Judge John Stevens, Jr., presiding over the course of two days.
One certainly would not want their life’s deeds or career judged entirely on what was found on the Internet. Yet, it is hard to imagine how an ex-assistant district attorney for Jefferson County could spend 24 years on the public payroll and have only one story online that mentions his name.
While we harbor no disrespect for the Wall Street Journal who called us “that scrappy little paper from Southeast Texas,” we prefer to think of ourselves as simple seekers of the truth.
