A two-vehicle collision in Beaumont's west end on Friday, Sept. 18, 2015 resulted in the death of a Port Arthur resident.

According to a press release from the City of Beaumont, just before 11 p.m. Friday, Beaumont PD officers responded to a collision at the intersection of Major Drive and Highway 105. Upon arrival, it is reported two white Ford F-150 trucks were resting against the traffic light pole in the intersection.

The City of Beaumont 2015 Craft Beer Fest on Saturday, September 19, 2015 has sold out. The event is taking place at the Downtown Event Centre at 700 Crockett Street.

Emily Wheeler, Division Manager for the City of Beaumont Event Facilities, announced the updated event details, adding that tickets will not be available at the door.

Matt Block, managing attorney with the Child Support Division's Beaumont office, was recognized by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton Thursday at the Statewide Child Support Managers' Conference in Fort Worth. Block was named "Managing Attorney of the Year" for his commitment and dedication to Texas children. The Attorney General's Child Support Division offers assistance to families that includes locating absent parents, establishing paternity and collecting and distributing child support payments.
