Christus Health Southeast Texas – St. Elizabeth is currently undergoing a $2.5 million Neonatal Intensive Care Renovation project, made possible by the Christus Health Foundation Southeast Texas and Christus Health. The hospital made the announcement at a media event Tuesday, Jan. 12.

Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office arrested a Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School student for possession weapons on campus late Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 13, Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD Community Relations Coordinator Sherry Combs revealed in a news release. The student was also reportedly in possession of alcohol.

An international company has strengthened its role as a key player in Southeast Texas’ economic base with the recent addition of a new air separation plant in Port Neches. Air Liquide operates a series of industrial gas plants and pipelines along the Gulf Coast.

News release from the U.S. Attorney's Office:

An 18-year-old Beaumont, Texas man has been arrested for federal violations in the Eastern District of Texas, U.S. Attorney John M. Bales announced Jan. 14.

Trey Joseph Frederick was arrested today pursuant to a criminal complaint issued by the U.S. District Court charging him with violating the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.  Frederick appeared in federal court this afternoon on the charges.
