Local 399 donates 100 coats for the children of CPS in Southeast Texas.

At the beginning of the coldest time of the year, firefighters from Beaumont Professional Fire Fighters, IAFF Local 399 donated 100 coats to children Monday, Nov. 17. Children in the custody of Child Protective Services around Southeast Texas are now able to keep warm and look stylish in the cozy coats from Operation Warm. The coats are made in the USA and the organization is sponsored by the national organization of firefighters.

Firefighters battled and beat a blaze on Blackmon in Beaumont on Sunday, Nov. 23 but not before the fire caused significant damage to a residence there, Beaumont Fire Rescue reports.
