The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a person investigators call a “very dangerous fugitive,” 33-year-old Brock Jimone McNeil. The suspect is wanted in connection to an aggravated robbery that occurred Dec. 30, 2009, in the 4400 block of Irene Street in Beaumont.

Pinehurst officers Leonard Roff and Kirk Fregia responded to a 9-1-1 hang-up call in the 3000 block of Old Castle Dr. on Sunday, May 20, shortly after 1 pm. to find a possible stroke victim and a highly cultivated marijuana farm, Pinehurst Police Chief Fred Hanauer reports.

Glaring error in BISD superintendent’s contract sparks confusion and lawsuit

Beaumont Independent School District trustees will meet Thursday, May 17, behind closed doors with their attorney to discuss how the group was collectively unaware of a provision in new superintendent Dr. Timothy Chargois’ contract allowing for an automatic base salary increase for the $215,000-a-year administrator.

In October of 2011, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division conducted an undercover operation targeting several primary locations that were actively engaging in the county-wide distribution of synthetic marijuana and bath salts. This investigation was started due to numerous complaints made to the Sheriff’s Office from Vidor area residents, sheriff Keith Merritt said.
