The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launches with the Jason-3 spacecraft Jan. 17.

Jason-3, a U.S.-European oceanography satellite mission with NASA participation that will continue a nearly quarter-century record of tracking global sea level rise, lifted off from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California on Sunday at 12:42 p.m. aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.

Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office arrested a Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School student for possession weapons on campus late Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 13, Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD Community Relations Coordinator Sherry Combs revealed in a news release. The student was also reportedly in possession of alcohol.
