Lamar State College-Orange is partnering with the Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce to host the 2013 Annual Career Fair on Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside the LSC-O Student Center. LSC-O students and alumni of all majors are invited, as well as a number of local employers.

Muscle Walk 2013

More than $36,000 gross was raised at the annual Southeast Texas MDA Muscle Walk, held at the Montagne Event Center on Saturday, March 2 and presented by the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Over 350 participants comprised of MDA families, local businesses, and community organizations were there to flex their fundraising muscles.

A Beaumont man was indicted Thursday, March 14 for murdering his cousin in cold blood after an argument over a dice game.

According to an investigative summary obtained by The Examiner, on Feb. 27, Lance Jacoby Moore, 26, was playing dice with his cousin on Dusty Lane around 11 p.m. when the two became engaged in an argument. At least one shot was fired at Moore’s cousin, Lorenzo Simon, 41, of Beaumont, hitting him in the foot.
