An “ambassador for mankind,” Lamar University’s Freddie Titus took a different path when he discovered the joy of serving others over self. He has brought that approach to his teaching and service beyond the campus.

Lamar University’s Center for Innovation Commercialization and Entrepreneurship (CICE) is partnering with faith-based and community organizations for the first ever Port Arthur Hope & Opportunity Event. The free community event with be Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Booker T. Elementary School, located on 1300 Freeman Avenue in Port Arthur, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
