Vonte Shakur Williams

Vonte Shakur Williams, a 20-year-old Beaumont resident, is wanted on two outstanding burglary warrants.  Both warrants are felonies that carry bonds of $150,000 each. Beaumont police consider him a violent offender, and he has been arrested him in the past while in possession of a handgun. He often drives a 2008 Honda Civic bearing Texas license plate CB1S825.

One man was arrested after an alleged assault in Orange where the victim claimed the man hurled a derogatory slur while running toward him with a knife.

Trustees and audience members had braved the inclement weather to attend the posted meeting, which was scheduled to allow the elected leaders of the school board to whittle away an upcoming budget deficit in the millions - potentially costing teachers their jobs, or necessitating a tax increase.
