From the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Texas:

Eighteen individuals have been arrested on federal violations in the Eastern District of Texas, U.S. Attorney John M. Bales announced in a news release on April 13.

According to the news release, on April 7 through April 8, a combined task force of federal, state and local law enforcement arrested 18 illegal aliens working under false identities at various refineries, industrial plants and shipyards in Jefferson, Galveston and Liberty counties.

A 34-year-old Port Arthur, Texas man has been sentenced to federal prison for child pornography violations in the Eastern District of Texas, announced U.S. Attorney John M. Bales on April 9.

Damien Oasis Winn pleaded guilty on Dec. 4, 2014, to possession of child pornography and was sentenced to 86 months in federal prison on April 9 by U.S. District Judge Ron Clark.
