The Spring Home and Outdoor Show will be taking place Friday, April 19, through Sunday, April 21, at Ford Arena in Beaumont. South Park residents in Beaumont are in for some much-needed drainage relief, but not before the city tears up streets and wastewater/drainage infrastructure throughout the neighborhood in a project that could take two years to complete.

At their weekly meeting, City Council members approved the final bid for the South Park drainage project, awarding the project to Allco LLC of Beaumont for some $13 million.

Police say a Beaumont woman is in custody after she slashed a JC Penny's employee while attempting to flee the Parkdale Mall store with stolen property.

On Wednesday, April 10, at approximately 6:17 p.m., police responded to the store to find the woman already in custody, a BPD press release said.


Terminated Executive Director Tanya Wilson of the Orange Housing Authority (OHA) has filed a whistleblower suit against the quasi-governmental agency for what she claims was retaliation due to her cooperation in a federal audit of the agency.
