The Officer Bryan Hebert Memorial Foundation will host a fish fry fundraiser on Thursday, June 25 at Performance Car Audio in Beaumont.

For $10, guests can purchase a fish plate served with hushpuppies, fries and a bottled water. Dine-in and drive-thru pick up services will be available from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Proceeds from this benefit are used to provide full paid scholarships for cadets to attend the Lamar Institute of Technology's Regional Police Academy in honor of fallen police officer, Bryan Hebert.

National attention has been focused in recent weeks on sexual relations between inmates and prison staff in the wake of an escape at the Clinton Correctional Facility in upstate New York. Two inmates escaped with the help of prison tailor shop instructor Joyce Mitchell, who is reported to have had a sexual relationship with at least one of the escapees.
