According to a post from the Beaumont Independent School District, Beaumont United High School students were on lockdown this morning due to police activity in a surrounding neighborhood.
The Beaumont Health Department Nov. 17 confirmed 68 new cases of COVID-19 within the city. Beaumont has confirmed 460 new cases in November so far.
Police in Orange are searching for a suspect who shot a 21-year-old resident multiple times before fleeing the scene.
