After postponing the day due to the pandemic and a drawn-out hurricane season, Jefferson County is finally celebrating Lemonade Day Sunday, Oct.

The City of Beaumont added 13 new COVID-19 positives and 1 coronavirus death for Oct. 14. Statewide COVID-19 numbers of Oct. 14 were 4,564 positives and 95 deaths.

The City of Beaumont reported 1 new COVID-19 related death and 11 new positives for Monday, Oct. 12.

Entergy Texas crews have made significant progress following Hurricane Delta’s destructive winds and rains affected Southeast Texas. Since Delta made landfall on Oct.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office announced Oct. 8 that the Vidor substation has reopened, though in a different location than prior to flooding during Hurricane Harvey in 2017. 

Due to Hurricane Delta, local school districts have adjusted schedules because of power outages and damage.
