Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 6:30 p.m., Beaumont Police received a report that a human skull was discovered near Fannett Road and South 23rd Street, in the 4700 block of South 23rd Street. 

A Beaumont resident walking in the area found the skull, according to Officer Haley Walters, BPD PIO.

After police told him and his friends they could no longer use tennis courts at city parks to play their favorite sport, local futsal enthusiast Marco Hernandez suggested the city invest in a court for the sport, a type of hard-court soccer popular in Latin countries.

CASA of Southeast Texas is gearing up for its annual “Casas for CASA” fundraiser. This event is not just building playhouses. It is about rebuilding the shattered lives of children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. Volunteers advocate for these children on a daily basis so CASA is able to rebuild strong, confident children who will one day become productive citizens in Southeast Texas.

Police in Orange made two arrests Sept. 26 after an investigation into a stolen vehicle reportedly led them to the discovery of 25 grams of methamphetamine inside a local residence.
