Beaumont Independent School District Superintendent Timothy Chargois repeatedly called on the Board of Trustees to focus its attention on student success during the group’s most recent meeting held Nov. 8, but taxpayers are urging the elected leaders to investigate allegations of race-baiting and theft occurring on district grounds and facilitated by public funding.

“Hiring Red, White and You!” (RWY), a job fair for veterans, will be held at the Beaumont Civic Center on Thursday, Nov. 15. The unique job fair seeks to connect veterans with Texas employers who value the experience, discipline and other qualities inherent with a military background.

Hurricane Sandy devastated the northeast United States and affected millions. Dozens were killed with the death toll still on the rise. Approximately 8 million people were left without electricity in the wake of the storm when it hit late Monday, Oct. 29. Floodwaters submerged city streets and water filled basements of residents in the storm zone. Desperate cities cried out for help after the tragic storm. New York City called out and National Pump & Compressor answered that call.
