After receiving a bill from Acadian Ambulance, however, McBride decided he’d shop around for an ambulance provider when it was time to bring his loved one back home after battling with a lengthy hospital stay.

A love-scorned Southeast Texas man who gave his alleged Russian bride more than $57,752, a wedding ring and other gifts has been indicted in a murder-for-hire plot after agreeing to pay $50,000 to kidnap the young Russian woman and bring her to the United States from Kiev, Ukraine, so he could kill her or have her killed.

The March of Dimes annual March for Babies walk is happening this Saturday, April 21, and the folks at the Southeast Texas chapter of the March of Dimes are preparing for one of their best walks yet. They have more than 150 teams signed up for this year’s event, and they hope to surpass the amount of money raised last year, organizers said. Last year more than 1,000 people participated in the walk, and organizers are expecting another great turnout with more people walking this year.
