The first-year boys’ basketball head coach of Hamshire-Fannett High School submitted his resignation just a few months into the school year after allegations arose claiming Coach Anthony DeCello had inappropriate contact with a female Hamshire-Fannett student.

Christmas can be a rough time for children living in the foster care system. Being away from the family they’ve been with their entire lives and living in a new environment, most often temporarily, can be difficult for youngsters to adjust to. With that in mind, Arrow Child and Family Ministries went out of their way to ensure 14 children had a holiday celebration to remember.

It's been just over six-hours since the jury received the federal case against Calvin Gary Walker, alleging that he defrauded and stole millions of dollars from the Beaumont Independent School District through a scheme of using cut-and-paste documents to inflate contract invoices, and now they are telling the judge they are deadlocked.

Final statements have been submitted, instructions have been given to the jury and the future of Calvin Walker is up to the 12 persons now deliberating the federal case against Calvin Walker of Walker's Electric Company. U.S. Attorney Bob Rawls for the Eastern District of Texas asserts Walker defrauded taxpayers by falsifying invoices and requests for payment submitted to the Beaumont Independent School District for payment, and additional counts are pending for wire and mail fraud.
