Clark anticipated losing half her paycheck with the cancelation of the adult cosmetology program, but she was still employed as a night-class instructor for the Taylor Center.

Beaumont Independent School District Chief Financial Officer Robert Zingelmann announced Sept. 11 that he will be leaving the school district to accept a position as the new Region 4 Chief Financial Officer, serving an estimated 51 school districts and one million students. Lumberton is getting a state-of-the-art emergency room with a touch of small-town care.

According to an Altus press release, the company will break ground Sept. 25 and begin building the 10,000 square-foot complex, which will include a trauma room, eight treatment rooms, lab services, a triage unit, radiology suite, pharmacy and year-round emergency room services.
