The City of Beaumont will host a Job Fair on Saturday, July 18, from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Theodore Johns Library, 4255 Fannett Road. Onsite interviews will be conducted and skills testing administered for all skilled labor positions.

There are a wide range of full and part-time employment opportunities with the city of Beaumont. Representatives from various departments will be present to speak with you about positions in their departments and answer questions you may have about job openings.

Residents at a Beaumont nursing home are enjoying the outdoors under a brand new gazebo, thanks to the hard work of a local Eagle Scout and his friends.

For his Eagle Scout Service Leadership Project, 17-year-old Caleb Long and a team of volunteers recently completed construction on the new addition at College Street Health Care, a non-profit retirement facility in Beaumont.

Mosquito Control has confirmed a positive test for West Nile.

A batch of mosquitoes collected July 7 at Ogden Avenue and Harriot Street in Beaumont tested positive for the West Nile virus, said Kevin Sexton, director of the Jefferson County Mosquito Control District.
