Motiva’s 26th annual Golden Golf tournament raised more than $137,000 recently to benefit Junior Achievement of the Golden Triangle.

JA Director Patricia Woolridge reports that thousands of children throughout the Golden Triangle benefit each year from the programs that are made possible through funds raised at this tournament.

“Students develop the skills they need to become tomorrow’s workforce, thanks to Motiva, their employees and the numerous financial supporters, golfers and volunteers involved in the success of this tournament,” she said.

June 15, at about 7:30 a.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) received a report of a multiple-vehicle crash on I-10 in Jefferson County, Sgt. Stephanie Davis said in a release. The crash occurred about one mile west of Ford Park.

DPS can confirm that one person is deceased and two others have been transported to local hospitals with unknown injuries.
