Beaumont has a new high-tech surgical facility in the growing West End.
At least 100 doctors, nurses and prospective patients gathered at Beaumont’s new Victory Medical Center on Thursday, May 2, for the facility’s grand opening.
CEO Becky Ames helped cut the ribbon and welcome guests to room after room of hors d'oeuvres and drinks, including salmon, leg of lamb and shrimp.
City Council members, healthcare workers and other staff showed off spacious surgical rooms, each designed to meet a flexible range of surgical needs.
“This is an ALF frame,” said Neil Babineaux, a certified surgical technician at Victory. “It’s used to do spine surgery. We’re going to be doing a bunch of different kinds of surgeries.”
Each surgical room can be utilized for bariatrics, ear, nose and throat, gastroenterology, general surgery, gynecological surgery, orthopedics, pain management, plastics, podiatry, spine surgery and vascular surgery.
“All the rooms are set up to be utilized for any service,” Babineaux said.
The new Victory facility also boasts a “VIP experience for every patient” and “plush, oversized patient rooms, gourmet food and a one-to-one staffing,” according to Victory’s website.
