One man was taken to the hospital for treatment after a weekend stabbing in Vidor.
According to an officer with the Vidor Police Department, officers responded to a call Sunday regarding a disturbance at a residence off Canal Street. VPD Assistant Chief David Vandergriff said a man was stabbed in the arm in what appears to be a case of domestic violence. Vandergriff denied rumors from social media sites that the man was stabbed in the head with a "butter knife," saying that would not be sharp enough to break the skin unless it was altered somehow and that it was the man's arm that was injured. No arrests have been made at this time, and no names are being released by police in the ongoing investigation.
