A Port Arthur man was assaulted and robbed early Monday morning, Sept. 16 in the 1000 block of West 14th Street, the Port Arthur Police Department reports in a press release. The victim, a 30-year-old black man, advised police that around 1 a.m. he was approached by several black males who assaulted him and took his money, according to a PAPD press release. Police said the victim sustained a laceration to the head that required medical treatment, but the injury was not life threatening. According to police, officers were able to gather some information about the suspects; however, no arrests have been made at this time. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
