A single-car wreck in Vidor on Friday afternoon injured the vehicle's driver, who was later arrested in relation to the accident.
According to DPS Trooper Stephanie Davis, troopers responded to an accident involving a Mercury passenger car on Interstate 10 East in Vidor around mile marker 860 at approximately 4:50 p.m. on Feb. 14.
"The driver was traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control, first striking the outside barrier and then striking the center concrete barrier," Davis reported.
Kenneth Harlow of South Carolina was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. He was taken into custody after being released from the hospital. Harlow was arrested for driving while intoxicated and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
