An Orange resident was arrested May 5 after reportedly being discovered in the possession of child pornography, including pornographic photos and videos, police report.
According to a report from the Orange Police Department, officers responded to a call at about 7:30 p.m. on May 5 from a family regarding the suspicion someone living in the household was in possession of child pornography. According to Captain Cliff Hargrave, the caller reporting the incident lived at the residence and was allowing an acquaintance to stay there. The female resident noticed the man was acting strangely toward a female child living at the home. The wary resident then looked through the man’s phone and told police she found evidence of child pornography.
According to Captain Hargrave, officers discovered photographs and video depicting children under the age of 18 in sexual situations in addition to other evidence collected.
The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Jason Bickham of Orange, was arrested and made a voluntary statement, police report. Hargrave said Bickham admitted to the accusations during the statement.
