Comedian as well as Country music singer-songwriter Rodney Carrington returns to Beaumont to perform at the Julie Rogers Theatre on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m. Tickets for the show, which are $39.75, will be available for purchase on Friday, June 20, at 10 a.m. via the Beaumont Civic Center box office and Ticketmaster outlets including ticketmaster.com  or charge-by-phone at (800) 745-3000.
From Longview, Carrington new tour is titled “Laughter’s Good, Don’t Make Me Come Down There” and is definitely for mature audiences. For more than 20 years, Carrington has been performing and has released eight comedy albums selling more than 2 million copies with songs such as “Dancin’ With a Man,” “Show Them to Me” and “Don’t Look Now.” He once starred in his own self-titled television sitcom from 2004-06 on ABC plus co-wrote and co-starred in the feature film Beer for My Horses with Toby Keith as well as co-starring in Trace Adkins’ video “I Got My Game On,” which Carrington later won a CMT Music Video Award for “Supporting Character of the Year.”
He also added author to the resume when he wrote Rodney Carrington: Coming Clean in 2007.
