On Wednesday, June 15, at 9:45 p.m., Beaumont police officers were called out to Washington Boulevard in reference to a robbery that had just taken place.
Dispatch told responding officers a shot had been fired, and the suspects were reported to be armed with a pistol and a shotgun. A K-9 handler assisted with the investigation and got information that led to the suspects.
A perimeter was set up around a residence in the 800 block of Euclid and the two suspects were taken into custody and identified as Joseph Kerry Celestine, 28, and Murphy Alexander Molo, 17, both of Beaumont.
Witnesses stated the suspects fired a round from the shotgun as they were running through the area of Euclid and Sabine Pass. There were no reported injuries and the suspects were taken in to custody without incident. They were transported to Jefferson County Correctional Facility and booked in for aggravated robbery.
