After months of campaigning, the Port Arthur City Council is finally set with Harold Doucet and Derrick Freeman claiming the final two seats in District 4 and Position 7 respectively.
Doucet easily outpaced his opponent, Warren Field, 481-291, while the Position 7 race, easily the most contentious of any council race this campaign season, Freeman knocked off the venerable Willie "Bae" Lewis 1061-1006.
Both men said they were happy and thankful for the voters who elected them to office. They both stated that now it's time to get to work for the city of Port Arthur.
Freeman and Doucet are slated to be sworn in July 6th at the Port Arthur City Hall.
