Beaumont has heart … Saturday night, Feb. 12, at the MCM Eleganté Hotel, the third annual Golden Triangle Heart Ball was held in a packed house. The 2011 Heart Ball — “I Left My Heart in San Francisco: A Golden Gate Affair” was chaired by Christina Delgadillo. Her able committee members Ginger Burney, Kate Carroll, Anna Childs, Kathy Catalano, Brandi Claybar, Kelli Coker, Annie Green, Marilyn Gripon, Becky Hunter, Ann Icard, Elaine Johnson, Amy Lovoi, Gigi Mazzola, Mandi Mazzola, Clayton Peco, Matt Peterson, Christopher Plauntyand Randy Trahan, along with executive director Charla Davidson, were thrilled with the throngs of stellar socials that attended the black tie optional event. The 2011 J.C. Crager Award Recipients were Dr. Stephen LaMendolaand the J.C. Giglio family. Family member Stephanie Daleodid a fantastic job illustrating the wonderful attributes of the Giglio family, while Dr. Michael Oszczakiewiczthrilled the smart crowd with the many accomplishments and successes of Dr. LaMendola. The evening started with signature San Fran delights such as the Side Car and Pisco Punch as guests mingled in and around the hotel’s foyer. Guests entered the ballroom around 8 p.m. where they enjoyed dinner and dancing to the music of Soul Vacation and the presentation of the awards and accolades of the honorees. Congratulations and dancing continued until the bewitching hour of midnight as guests reluctantly emptied the ballroom. All that glitters … Go for the Gold, one of the best parties held by the Art Museum of Southeast Texas, will take place Thursday, March 3, starting at 6:30 p.m. The reverse drawing is a great opportunity to win $10,000 in glittering gold coins. “Art”-istic comedy … Beaumont Community Players Betty Greenberg Center for Performing Arts is presenting “Art,” a Tony-winning play by Yasmina Reza translated by Christopher Hampton. This highly intriguing and entertaining play was directed by Michael Saar, with a very talented cast ofDavid Hooker, Glenn Teeterand Keith Huckabay. The performances will be February 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26. A must see!
