Just after midnight Monday, Dec. 12, Beaumont police officers arrested 48-year-old Beaumont resident Roshen Jahmon for a number of crimes stemming from an aggravated robbery at CVS on Dowlen.
What started out as a response to a theft at the store turned into an aggravated robbery when the suspect pulled a knife on the store manager. Jahmon fled the store with a female passenger but was quickly located by officers. A short pursuit ensued in which the woman jumped from the vehicle. She was apprehended a short time later. Jahmon continued driving and came to a stop around the 600 block of 20th Street, where he decided to give up.
Both suspects were taken into custody and detectives determined the woman was not involved. Jahmon was arrested and booked into Jefferson County Correctional Facility for aggravated robbery, evading arrest/detention with a vehicle and possession of marijuana.
