The West End Little League (W.E.L.L.) will be registering players for the spring baseball season Jan. 7 and 14 at the Regina Howell Elementary cafeteria from 9 a.m. through 1 p.m. The league will be accepting players who are as young as 4 years old as of May 1, 2012 to the t-ball program. Players are accepted as old as 12 as of May 1, 2012 to the baseball program.
According to a group representative, the West End Little League is a non-profit organization that promotes and develops interest in baseball while striving to develop the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical wellbeing. Games are typically played on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in the spring between mid-March and late May. Games are played at the baseball fields adjacent to Sallie Curtis Elementary.
Registration fees are $100 for first child and $95 for each child thereafter. For more information, contact W.E.L.L.
