Ready, set, shop … Fashion Week kicked off with a media party held this past Tuesday to launch the upcoming fashion fleet at participating boutiques such as Bella Bella, Reign, YaYa, BBS, Talbot’s, Posh & Co, Jackie’s, and Gaudie & Co. Tickets are still available for the Saturday, Jan. 21, event from 5 to 9 p.m. Meet at Goodfella’s and jump on the buses that will run continuously to the participating merchants. Tickets for $25 are available by calling (409) 212-6110. Proceeds benefit Baptist Cancer Center at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas. Kudos to Michelle Adams and her creative committee for organizing this shopping experience for such a worthwhile cause!

Electrifying announcement … The Edison Plaza opened its magnificent doors to a large lobby of distinguished guests to celebrate the new Albanese Cormier Holdings ownership of this office tower. With 17 floors of breathtaking views, the Edison Plaza will continue to be the high point of Beaumont’s downtown skyline. Noshing on the small bites provided by Katharine & Co, along with listening to the sensational sounds of Stacey Savino and Jimmy Simmons, the crowd was enthralled by the future plans of this innovative business group for the high-rise building.
