Police mourn K-9 Marco

Sgt. Rob Flores of the Beaumont Police Department released a statement Thursday, Sept. 20, saying that police dog Marco has died.

“It is with much sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved friend and loyal servant Marco. Marco, a 10-year-old Dutch shepherd, passed away this morning during surgery after a severe illness. He faithfully served our department for seven years. Marco’s first partner was K-9 Officer P. Smith and most recently worked with Sgt. S. Lisenby.”
