Kane Harris

Kane Harris was hired four years ago to take over the Hamshire-Fannett football program. Now after one of the best seasons in recent memory, Harris has quit.

Feb. 8, in a short letter of resignation, Harris stated, “We made great strides in the athletic program” and that he wishes nothing but the best for the school district.

For the second time this season in Southland Conference play, the Lamar men’s basketball team is enduring a three-game losing streak.

After getting blown out on the road 98-70 by Southeastern Louisiana on Jan. 18, LU gave up 92 points at home last Saturday in a 92-79 loss against Houston Baptist.

The Cards, who are 10-10 overall, then met up with Stephen F. Austin on Jan. 25 and were routed 86-52 to fall to 2-6 in conference play.
