Samoa Joe is a mere month away before facing the biggest test of his storied career plus he get’s his first chance at WWE gold as the No. 1 contender collides with Universal Champion Brock Lesnar on July 9 at “Great Balls of Fire” pay-per-view, which can be seen on the WWE Network.

But before that can happen, Samoa Joe and many Raw superstars will be in Beaumont at Ford Arena this Sunday, June 11 for WWE SummerSlam Heatwave Tour at 5 p.m.

The short-lived recreational red snapper season has come and gone, but the boats that managed to get out and fish in federal waters, out past 9 nautical miles, didn’t seem to have any problem finding and catching the prized and tasty snapper.

Dan Gamble and some friends made the run out of Galveston on the second day of the season and found plenty of snapper, along with a few king mackerel and one ling.

For the third consecutive season, Lamar University senior Michael Feucht has been named the Southland Conference Tennis Male Student-Athlete of the Year, while senior Katya Lapayeva earned the Southland Conference Female Student-Athlete of the Year.

Feucht highlights a 2017 Academic All-Southland Conference team that features four Cardinals, including three first-team selections.
