BREAKING: Lamar hires FAU assistant to lead men's basketball program

The architect of the greatest single-season turnaround in NCAA history, a Division II National Champion and National Coach of the Year, Jordan Fee has been named as Lamar University head men’s basketball coach announced LU Vice President and Director of Athletics Jeff O’Malley Saturday afternoon.

The Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School Bulldogs fired an eye-opening 299 team total to win the Larry Paine High School Memorial Invitational by 14 shots, battling through wet, damp, and cold conditions.
Chester and his wife Lisa work with children facing special challenges and give them wildlife encounters. They also involve their dogs including Hawkeye, a super sweet and photogenic bullmastiff that has visited hundreds of kids and helped several dog bite victims overcome their fear of canines.

It’s been all systems go since Jeff O’Malley took over the Lamar University athletics department in June 2022. The programs as well as the infrastructure turned a complete 180 and it's quickly paid off.
