15 businesses vandalized in Silsbee

At least 15 businesses have been vandalized, Silsbee Police Department said in a community alert.

On Monday, Dec. 11, Silsbee Police took a report of criminal mischief at the Twisted Chandelier Boutique on North 4th Street.

Police believe that someone used what appears to be an "airsoft" pellet weapon of some sort at close range, causing the window to bust.

Officers patrolled the area and noted damage to several other businesses throughout the city, all having appeared to be caused by the same or similar weapons and possibly the same actor or actors.

According to the department, the other businesses in and around downtown include:

  • Twisted Chandelier Boutique
  • William Giseke CPA
  • The Whistle Stop Boutique/Market on the Square
  • Ya-Ya’s Junk Store
  • A Touch of Health Massage Therapy
  • Johnson’s Petals and Stems
  • Swift Automotive
  • Silsbee Antiques and Emporium
  • Etex Office Supplies
  • Jackson & Morones Law Firm
  • Edward Jones Investments
  • Antiques Co-op
  • Diva’s Boutique
  • Curves (possibly old damage - but similar in nature)
  • All Needz Dental (possibly old damage - but similar in nature)
